Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects involving all aspects of construction. I’ve learned from experienced builders, spent countless hours studying construction through books, blogs, and videos, and am always looking to deepen my knowledge.

As a certified multi-subject teacher with 7 years of experience teaching middle school, I’m skilled at breaking down complex topics into manageable steps. I’d be happy to help you learn and grow in this field.

When I’m not building or with my family, I’m often working in the garden.  In 2017, I spent 6 months living and working on a 12 acre organic farm.  Following that, I used what I learned to create my own ¼ plot in the city of Stockton (@lenzfamilyfarm). When our urban farm began, it was a patch of dirt with a few trailers, left over construction debris and an abandoned Uhaul.  After cleaning up the garage, some tractor work and vision, the space has taken new life.  

Upgrades include:

• Irrigation has been installed throughout the farm

• shade structures added

• 20+ fruit trees planted

• 10x50’ long beds and 10x25’ long beds were added

• A berry/ fruit patch including blueberries, raspberries and grapes were added

• 16’x16’ chicken coop that houses 18 birds

• Outdoor bathroom and hangout area

Gardening is therapeutic and enjoyable.  We love spending time and enjoying the produce from our garden and hope to share this knowledge as well!  I would be happy to help you create your own garden/ outdoor space!
